5 Frame Nucleus hive setup

A Nucleus Colony (aka "Nuc") is a smaller colony setup, sometimes used for smaller colonies requiring <5 frames. They can also be used to start a new colony consisting of bees in all stages, resources/food, a laying queen, and enough worker bees to cover 3-5 frames of combs.

Our woodenware is made from Eastern White Pine and are box jointed for a tight fit. We only offer built commercial grade as we feel that it gives the bees an opportunity to put excess propolis to help seal up their hive and encourage a sterile environment. It also allows us to keep our prices competitive as the cost of lumber is high these days. We recommend painting your woodenware, if you are staining, then Select grade is the typical choice (which we currently don't offer)

This kit comes unassembled, Does NOT include frames.
